erlanger’s secret garden

Elemi Architects was asked to respond to an RFP to create a new public space at Erlanger Children’s Hospital on 3rd Street in Chattanooga to entertain children whose conditions prevented them from interacting with nature. Elemi was awarded the RFP and partnered with Branch Technology, PlayCore, and local artist Isaac Duncan to create an environment that simulated a garden space with 3D printed sculptural ‘trees’. The garden also provided opportunities to stimulate all of the senses with musical elements and opportunites for discovery. This project was completed in early 2019.
