the terminal

In 2007, Eastman Construction engaged Elemi to help build a neighborhood pub The Terminal BrewHouse. The restoration of the former Stong Building began with the transfer of property from Cornerstones, Inc. to Eastman Construction. Eastman had begun to establish steel framing systems and exterior shell demolition and sought assistance with permitting and tenant build-out requirements. The work began with a structural assessment of the original masonry footprint and recently inserted skeletal steel framework. Elemi worked with the Terminal owners to gather their specific kitchen equipment data and basic bar layout information to establish framework plans. The Terminal owner’s desired a green roof system in conjunction with adjacent outdoor rooftop seating. Overall, this restoration restores the original building to an adaptive re-use that has been well received by the neighborhood.
